Mixed Media

I was born in 1973 in Perth, Scotland and graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone, Dundee in 1997 with a BDes (Hons) Degree in Illustration and   Printmaking. Since graduating and with determination and a love of colour and texture, I have worked in a wide range of disciplines, including surface pattern design for textiles, architectural rendering and illustration for greeting cards, gift wrap, books and calendars. For a short period in 1997, I worked in Italy as a textile designer for the fashion house Missoni.  During this time an opportunity arose to work as a designer for a major greeting card publisher, based in the south west. In 2001, I fulfilled my dream and chose to paint full time…

Since graduating Dionne has always worked in art – Illustrating, textiles & painting.  Inspiration comes from her landscapes and vistas in the UK and beyond. She also paints Still Life’s from everyday objects.

Dionne loves to go sketching and painting and then returning to her garden studio to paint in mixed media. She is always happy to be painting away in her studio. Her love of colour, texture, composition and light are key factors in her work, looking at the shapes and patterns within the subject matter.

She considers herself to be very fortunate to dedicate her time to her passion.
