Emma S Davis and her father James S Davis are looking forward to their forthcoming exhibition at The Bute Gallery.
This will be the first time they have had an exhibition with just the two of them. This year marks Emma’s 20th year since graduating from Glasgow School of Art so it is a lovely way to celebrate this with her Dad, who was her teacher for many years and her biggest influence in her early years.
Their first joint connection to Bute was when James painted Emma at Kingarth when she was 3. The large oil titled ‘Emma at Kingarth’ was exhibited in Edinburgh and was purchased by the Duke of Edinburgh for the Royal collection.
‘It’s lovely seeing us both in our studios working towards the same exhibition. Looking forward to seeing it all come together in the fabulous Bute Gallery. We have both painted on the island and we look forward to sharing Bute through our eyes’
The exhibition will launch on Friday 31st August at 7pm. Come along and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine with us at The Bute Gallery where you can meet the artists and peruse their work.
